  1. Tai Chi and SAIL Classes Stay Active & Independent for Life: Wednesdays and Fridays

    Come join us for these free exercise programs. Tai Chi class is one of the most effective exercises for the health of mind and body. SAIL (STAYING ACTIVE AND INDEPENDENT FOR LIFE) Sail is a fitness program for older adults, which can be done sitting or standing. Performing exercise that improves strength, balance and fitness is critical for staying active and reducing the risk of falls.The SAIL program was designed with these principals in mind. Each class includes warm-up, stretching, cardio, balance, and strengthening exercise, as well as a cool down. l class involves strength training and working on your balance. Both Classes include a warm up, stretching, cardio balance and strengthening exercises, as well as a cool down. Instructor: Nile Burge, Education Specialist, Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative Pre-Register (limit 18) No Cost! Tai Chi is six weeks and Sail is six weeks back to back.

    Come Join DJ Cloyes as he discusses ways to be safe while using your internet and email. He will take questions and answers after classes. The last class on August 27 will be a Mobile Phone and Tablet Workshop so make sure you bring your phone or tablet with you.
